Supervision by authorities  

Authorities can also assist in solving problem situations between customers and service providers. Service providers operating in the financial markets are supervised for instance by the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Consumer Ombudsman and the Data Protection Ombudsman. Consumer advisers, legal aid offices and money and debt advisers can also give advice and assistance in problem situations.
